  3. Four core principles
    1. Perceivable
      1. Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
      2. So that people can see the content, or hear it
      3. All non-text content like images, charts, icons and infographics, must have an appropriate text equivalent
      4. All images must have an alternative text description that describes its meaning, not what the image is:
        1. images that communicate information (for example icons and logos) have short text descriptions
        2. editorial images that support the text around them have short descriptions
        3. images that communicate complex information (for example infographics, charts and diagrams) have longer text descriptions within the same page
        4. decorative images have the null (or empty) alternative description alt="" (no space between the quotations)
    2. operable
      So that people can use the computer by typing, or by voice
    3. understandable
      So that people get clear and simple language
    4. robust
      So that people can use diffrent assistive technologies
